BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The governing body of the Village of Northfield is the Board of Trustees, whose members are directly elected to three-year terms by voters living in Northfield Village.

The Village Trustees' primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of the Village-owned utility companies, which provide electricity, water, and sewer services to all residents of Northfield Village and to some (but not all) Northfield Town residents.  The Village Trustees also oversee the operation of the Village Highway Department and all Village-owned property, especially the Village Common and the Village Forest.

In 2012, the Board of Trustees will meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.  The meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room located in the Brown Public Library (93 South Main Street).
