The Northfield Fire Department's primary responsibilities are the suppression of fire and the protection of life and property within the municipality of Northfield; to remain in Capital Fire Mutual Aid as a member in good standing in order to give and receive aid in fire suppression and other emergency response, to cooperate in any fire prevention endeavors; to cooperate with state agencies in review of plans concerning fire protection; to train and remain ready to respond in an emergency; to assist the Fire Warden in preventing wild fires; to cooperate with any other emergency responders in protecting life and property; and to develop an annual budget and Capital Improvement Plan.
