The Northfield Electric Department (NED) encompasses all the Village of Northfield and extends to areas outside the Village in the Town of Northfield. We have approximately 1900 customers. If you live in Northfield and our system does not cover you, then you will be covered by Central Vermont Public Service (CVPS) or the Washington Electric Co-op (WEC).
The Village of Northfield owns the electric department but we rely on Green Mountain Power (GMP) for all our service work regarding line and meter maintenance. If work is needed, please contact Jackie Lefebvre or Bobbi Underhill, our Customer Service Representatives, at 485-5411 and they will take appropriate steps to correct the problem. If a problem occurs after regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), the emergency number is 485-6060.
