NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FLOOD HAZARD AREA REGULATIONS

The Northfield Boards of Town Selectmen and Village Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room located in the Brown Public Library (93 South Main Street) for the purpose of providing written or oral views on a proposed amendment to the Zoning Regulations (replacing Article V. Floodplain Zoning Regulations with a new Article V. Flood Hazard Area Regulations) in order to comply with requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program.

This regulation affects all properties in the Town and Village of Northfield that intersect with flood hazard area boundaries; all property owners were informed by mail if their property was affected.

The full text of the Zoning Regulations, including the proposed Article V. Flood Hazard Area Regulations, can be examined in the Town Clerk’s office in the Northfield Municipal Building (51 South Main Street) during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).
