CENSUS JOBS

The US Census Bureau is recruiting in the Northfield area for census workers. These are temporary, part-time jobs paying $13.50 per hour plus mileage, paid weekly.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.

Census takers work in their communities locating households, explaining the purpose of the Census, conducting personal interview with respondents who failed to return their 2010 Census Questionnaire, and recording their responses on paper forms.

Hours are flexible. Successful candidates will receive up to four days of paid training. Applicants must take a written test for basic skills required for the job.
